Yeah, so here's a journal entry. Because I'm tired of the other one. Right now I'm working on some colorized versions of old pencil drawings (mostly from the "surrealist horror" folder). I should also be working on the rewrite of the first part of that novel and then on actually writing the second part. Novels have to be yea long before anyone will buy them, you know. And 40,000 words is not yea long.
I saw DA had a contest for depictions of the end of the world. I thought, sweet! The end of the world! But apparently it's a promotion for a video game, and the prizes are video game paraphernalia. Maybe I should enter it anyway. I do want to make the picture, but the contest...meh. The end of the world seems to be popular right now. They made a movie about 2012 (which as I hear it is about as good as a Little Debbie cake) and there's this game that's about one of the horsemen of the apocalypse jumping the gun. Also "Knowing" was about the end of the world. Hmm, anything else? They need to finish that Narnia series by 2012, because
I'm working on the plot for my NaNo novel for this year. It's about a false prophecy and a race of witches and a plot based on a Pet Shop Boys album. Yeah. It should be fun. But until November, I need to work on another novel I started earlier this year, The Post-Apocalyptic Vision Quest of Isaac and Isabelle. It's my experiment where I follow the hero's journey as closely as possible to see if it sucks. It's also where the supercomputer that set off the nuclear bombs is reduced to a meek little AI spitting out pleas for company on a miraculously still-working laser printer. Yay for ink cartridges that last through the armageddon.
